The Course

History
The King’s FRCR 2B course is a long established course which has continued to evolve from 1985, and was initially set-up by Professor John Karani and Professor Philip Gishen. In the past names associated with the course were Professor Grainger, Dr Allison, Professor Armstrong, Dr Reznek, Professor Carty, Dr Craig, Dr Field, Professor Desai, Dr Peddu and Dr Gregory.

Aim
Our sole purpose is to help radiology trainees obtain success in the final FRCR 2B examination.

Most candidates have enough radiological knowledge to pass the exam, but are sometimes let down due to poor technique and timing. The intensive 2 day weekend course provides a platform for revision and fine tuning in examination technique/timing.

The Setup

We designed the course format and content with the help of former FRCR examiners and Consultants interested in teaching and will include:

-
Six 2 hour viva sessions

Sessions are conducted with no more than four candidates and each candidate undergoes a one-to-one viva session with the tutor followed by individual feedback.

-
Longs and plain film rapids practice examinations

During this session the candidate will practise longs and rapid reporting. Following this, candidates have the opportunity to review the cases with the session tutor. We want to challenge the delegates and will have a wide selection of ‘gold medal’ and Aunt Minnie type cases to help you not only pass but excel in the exam.
The course fee is inclusive of:

-
Individual delegate welcome pack containing longs and rapids answer sheets and certificates upon completion.
